Description
Original Song by ©Daniel Hammond “I Am The Only One To Blame”
This was a fun up tempo song, a little humor, a little hyperbole and it was great to have my daughter, Leah, sing harmonies with me on it. David did a great job with the production and most of the instrumentation. We recorded this one on an old analogue system instead of digital.

I AM THE ONLY ONE TO BLAME
Original Song by ©Daniel Hammond
I been in a big ole fight
Wrestling my checkbook all night
I thought you’d done overdrawn again
I really need to apologize
Since I realize
I am the only one to blame
Chorus:
Where are you my darling
I used to think you caused all my pain
But since you’ve been gone
Everything’s gone wrong
Now I know I’m the only one to blame
It’s been a week since you’ve been gone
You haven’t called or come back home
I guess I’d better wash myself some jeans
I thought I’d wash ‘em just like you
But all my sock and shorts turned blue
And I am the only one to blame
Chorus Repeat:
I tried to hire myself a maid
To do the things you do each day
She took one look then walked away
You’re the only woman alive
Can handle me and still survive
And I am the only one to blame
Chorus Repeat:
Bridge:
The house is a catastrophe
These freezer queens are killing me
But most of all I miss your company
Honey I’m sorry
Chorus Repeat
