Description
Original song by ©Daniel Hammond “I Lost The Only Love I Ever Had”
This song is very special to me because Tina, David’s wife who has gone on to be with the Lord, is singing harmony with me. She loved working with David and me, recording, singing harmony and ultimately putting together videos for our songs. Even though I am the one that writes the songs, David plays a vital role in getting them recorded. He generally does all the engineering work and most of the production work as well. He also does much of the instrumentation as well.

Walking on the beach early this morning
I found this note in a bottle lying in the sand
You won’t believe what it said my heart is still bleeding
I have read it so many times that I have it memorized.
She said, I lost the only love I ever had
And I’ve been searchin’ for a reason to live
If only we could make new old friends
Maybe life would be worth living again.
I’m staring at her note and hardly breathin’
When she appears from nowhere and takes me by the hand
I tell her that I know just how she is feelin’
I have been there before when you can’t take it anymore.
You see, I lost the only love I ever had
And I’ve been searchin’ for a reason to live
I was a fool to think you can’t make new old friends
You’ve made life worth living again.
You’ve made my life worth living again.
You’ve made my life worth living again.
